About Bilitly

Bilitly shows international students in Europe where their passport and permit can take them, what the trip really costs, and other students to go with.

What the icons mean

You see these on Can I go? and the trip results.

  • Visa-freeYou can go for a short stay without applying for a visa first.
  • Easy visaAn e-visa you apply for online, or a visa you get when you land.
  • Visa neededApply at the embassy before you travel, and leave a few weeks for it.
  • No entryThis passport cannot enter.
  • Your permit helpsMany countries outside Schengen let you in without another visa if you hold a residence permit or a valid visa from a Schengen country. This icon means your permit or visa is why the place is open to you. Without it, your passport would need a visa there.
  • Estimated cost (est.)Totals are our estimates from typical student prices, not live quotes. Check real prices before you book.
  • Within budgetThe estimated total is under the budget you set.
  • Lesser knownA place fewer visitors know about. Bilitly puts these higher in your results.
  • Day trip abroadOne day abroad means flying out and back the same day. Check the timetable, since small airports may have no same-day return.
